A summary of my best ski tours in the season 2023/24.

Tracked stats: 11.11.2023 - 11.04.2024, 506km, 177h, 54vkm

(I mostly track for navigation and sometimes when I'm interested in my heart rate. So most of my usual laps were not tracked)

I've done most of my first descents on Nockspitze in skimo gear except the N (only skied once) and NW (skied in skimo gear multiple times) couloir.

My parents love to run into my room and start talking (mostly for telling me that or when warm food is available so it's for a good cause). Due to the current COVID situation I have a lot of meetings or online lectures. So this situation can get embarassing when I'm not muted. The goal of this project was to indicate whether I'm in a meeting or not.

HX711 Analysis for SlackCellv2

I'm currently working on the second version of SlackCell. I switched from Arduino to a Raspberry Pi Zero WH to open up the possibilities. It's running a webservice which makes the SlackCell platform independent (as long as the platform has a modern browser). Furthermore it's less buggy than the old Bluetooth connection and will support more LEDs for the LeuchteLine. Smart Mirror

I already built a MagicMirror two years ago. It was my first Raspberry Pi project. Actually the wood working was the hardest part. The installation is straightforward. Just configuring all modules right can take some time. But after some time the Pi started to crash consistently. I'm quite sure one of the modules has a memory leak. LeuchteLine (GlowLine)

A few months after creating the SlackCell Michi had the amazing idea of adding LEDs to a slackline which change color depending on the current tension of the line. This should have been a straight forward task as I'm using a Arduino Nano in the SlackCell. So connecting the data line of the WS2812 LEDs I had lying around for my 3d printer to the Arduino, supplying the LEDs with 5V and some minor tweaks in the code should have done the trick for a fast prototype. Orientation Problems? A GPX comparison

On a trail run with Lukas we felt to be lost quite often. Even though we had planned the tour beforehand and had a GPX file. But we don't have navigation watches (yet) and getting your phone out of the pocket is a bit tedious. So I want to compare our planned and actual route using Python.

First Alpine Highline

Everything started with Lukas asking me if I'm free on the weekend. Having nothing planned yet I said yes. With out much info except for "We do something alpine", a beautiful WhatsApp group picture and a cabin name I prepared my stuff in the morning. My First Website

I wanted to create a website for a long time and after more then ten years of not looking further into it here it finally arrived. There is still a lot to do but it's in a suitable state.
